He was the one who led the Greeks during the Trojan War. For 1,500 years, one of its vaulted tombs held the record for the biggest dome in the world!
Epidaurus, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasts the best-preserved ancient theatre in Greece and hosts a popular festival every summer, where visitors have the chance to watch tragedies written 2,500 years ago!
Nafplio, a picturesque town with imposing fortresses that Turks and Italians fought over for centuries, was the first capital of Greece before Athens. Now it provides an ideal choice for relaxed strolls and a meal during the tour.
